Hi bees! Hope everyone is having a great Sunday!
Our wedding was a little over a week ago, and we went to Macy’s today to purchase a few things we wanted off of our registry with some gift cards we were given (hello 10% off!) When we printed our registry, I noticed there were several things that had been purchased that we haven’t actually recieved yet.
No big deal, I know people mail gifts, etc. but some of these gifts were purchased back in October. Our registry has the date purchased, but not all of the names of people who purchased it.
How long should I wait before I say something? I am worried somethings got lost, and I would hate for those guests to think I didn’t acknowlege their gift or send them a thank you card…or worse, pay for a gift I didn’t receive!

I think that October is long enough to say something. I would see if Macy’s can give you info on who purchased the items so you can figure out if the stuff is really lost.

I think you DEFINITELY need to say something!! Way enough time has passed!! Macy’s helped my daughter’s Grandparents in Law with a registry purchase…Macy’s printed out the WRONG registry, and the grandparents purchased a $100 platter which was mailed to the couple whose registry was incorrectly printed out….the couple refused to return the item…I think Macy’s refunded the grandparent’s the $$ but it was a big hassle for the grandparents who are in their 90’s.

I actually had a similar issue, I was married at the end of November and noticed on my BB&B registry that some items had been purchased that we never received. I called BB&B and they confirmed the purchase and the delivery date. To keep a long story short, we discovered that some of our packages had been STOLEN from our front porch. Definitely call Macys to see if they can confirm delivery (if they were shipped to you) to ensure that you aren’t in a similar situation. I don’t mean to alarm you though, we just discovered this over the weekend so it’s fresh in my mind!

That’s a tricky one. That happened with us and a few of the things on our registry and we even saw things get added that we hadn’t put on there. It ended up being because people bought things for themselves when they were buying for us off our registry and the store attached it to our registry as if everything was for us. Maybe that’s what happened with you?

Hmm, maybe I will check with Macy’s and see if I can get names. I will try to cross reference that with the gifts that we have. Lillindy’s theory seems possible, and I would hate to mention something and have that be the case!

@Linz1231: Another thing to check is order time on those items.
I’ve noticed some of my items on my Bloomingdale’s registry say something like “Estimated Ship Date: 53 days” or something crazy like that. So it could be a back ordered item.

@KatNYC2011: Oh, that is true too! I forgot about that. I had noticed that on a few items (random times, right?) I will check that out too!
