- Wedding: April 2010
We registered at BB&B, Williams-Sonoma, and Amazon.
Pro: you can register for ANYTHING. We used this only for our more unusual items.
Con: returns are annoying, and there are no incentives.
Bed, Bath and Beyond
Pro: great customer service, large selection, ok incentive program, 20% off coupons (!), very very very easy returns
Con: they automatically share your info with WeddingChannel and it’s annoying to get it taken down, you can only use your incentive discount once online and once in-store
Pro: best store ever, to my mind 🙂 Unlimited use of incentive discount for six months, and gift cards/credits can be used at West Elm & Pottery Barn as well.
Con: a lot of product overlap with BB&B, only more expensive and no coupons. Returns are ANNOYING. I’m posting this review mostly because Darling Husband had to return stuff yesterday. BB&B took about three minutes and they gave him cash; Williams-Sonoma took more like forty and they are mailing us merchandise credits (they do this for things bought online but returned in-store). To my mind, this is a big downer. And also kind of weird, since their website is (IMO) better than BB&B’s– you’d think they would have it more together with returns.
So obviously, I would recommend Bad, Bath & Beyond for the majority of registry items. My three cents!
