I’m a registry stalker. I admit it. And two weeks out from our wedding, I’m getting a bit worried. No one is really buying anything. So, to put my mind at ease… When did you see things "flying off the shelves?" The month of? The week of? The day before?

Most of our wedding gifts were purchased the day before my shower(s) or the week before the wedding. Don’t worry – it will happen!

Ditto MrsK2be- everyone waits till the last minute or just gives money.

That’s what I figured. And that’s what I would have told a friend if she asked me. But it somehow feels different when it’s *your* registry. (chuckles at self)

same here. no one bought anything off of our registry until the last minute. But even then, I still wasn’t seeing anything being purchased. Turns out that we got tons of cash and gift cards instead. So don’t worry! People will buy, and if they don’t, it’s because they’re likely giving cash/gift cards instead.

Shower is next Saturday and all three registries are full.
How awkward does a gift card make the whole “opening gifts in front of everyone” part of the shower though?

The whole opening gifts in front of people isn’t actually the center of the shower, despite it being the point of a shower. There will be lots of other things to do at the shower, that opening gift cards and cash won’t be awkward.

On ours, no one bought anything RIGHT UP UNTIL the weekend before pretty much! Also, I don’t know what it was, but with our registry, some things didn’t register correctly when they were purchased either so it was updated all weird.

my FSIL’s wedding was last weekend, and all the family and friends were asking “where is she registered again?!” just a day or two beforehand. don’t worry! also…my family is particularly bad w.this, alot of ppl buy the items off the registry but don’t hand over the list to the cashier, therefore it does not appear as “bought” when you check the registry.
