I do it! Especially since my first bridal shower is this weekend and the wedding is closing in — I wanna see what’s purchased! 🙂 I mean, it’s not like the web site tells you who purchased it. And, you assume you’re getting stuff off the registry anyway (otherwise, why did you register?) so I don’t think it’s cheating at all. It’s just like looking over a check list!

I stalk it and make changes to it pretty much every week.  I’ve also thoroughly researched every item on it and am constantly updating as I find out more info.  I tell my fiance that some girls dreamed about their wedding day their whole life but I always dreamed about my wedding registry.  It’ll be so nice to finally have good quality stuff and a fully outfitted kitchen.

I haven’t registered yet but know when I do, I’ll totally be a stalker.

i checked it all the time! (i’ve stopped a little now that the engagement party and shower are done, and i have a 1 1/2 months till the wedding. now i stalk my online rsvp’s!) it didn’t ruin the surprise for me at all. i didn’t know who bought what for me, and it wasn’t going to be a real surprise anyway because i picked the stuff out to begin with.

I’m still 5 months out, but i’ve been stalking daily.  To keep updating.  We’ve been having this really weird problem where all of the sudden quantities will double or triple on a random item.  I mean, i like cooking but i don’t need three 1.5 qt saucepans.

Too funny. I check mine too and delete and add things.  I see people on here post someone’s bought something off my registry and the wedding isn’t for another 6 months. And I’m like gosh mine is in 2 months and nothing has been bought yet.  So I go peek to see if they have.  All in good fun and in due time

I was a stalker, and I’m not ashamed to admit it. While I mostly did it to see what we got, I also wanted to make sure that there were always things on there in a variety of price ranges to make it easier on guests.

Did anyone find that people were waiting until last minute to buy shower gifts?

Our shower is in less than 2 weeks and barely anyone has touched the registries.

@ MissACS–I wouldn’t worry about it.  I’ve rarely bought anything for a shower earlier than the weekend before and I think a lot people are like that.  I’m sure within the week of your shower is when things will start getting scooped up.
