We registered at Target and Bed Bath and Beyond. I really liked BB&B, they have a lot of options and their return policy is awesome. If it’s on the registry and you return it, you get cash back.

We did the same as @artbee I really like BB&B but for thinks like pots and pans we went to Target b/c they’re outrageously priced at BB&B. WE wanted an option that was more pocketbook friendly as well as mid-high and that was Target =)

I loooved Bed Bath and Beyond! If you return something off your registry tehy give you straight cash!

We did Target as well, but for home items B3 was my fave (partially because they send me coupons all the time now)!

We did a Target registry as well for a more pocketbook friendly store. We don’t have a lot of well off friends and their return policy is pretty good πŸ™‚

I actually LOVE our Macys Registry. I shop at Macys alot and have never had an issue returning things there.

My registry consultant even automatically submitted my rewards for me!

They are constantly sending me Registry completion discounts, even now!

I’ve totally added things on there after our wedding to get the 20% Home store discount. πŸ˜‰

I think like all stores it depends on the location?

I chose Bed, Bath & Beyond because they have a good selection of both kitchen stuff and linens, and Fiance and I love a particular kind of sheets they sell, which I haven’t found elsewhere. I also like that they always have coupons so people can save some money when buying our gifts.

The other place we registered is Amazon because they have everything and you can use their universal registry feature to add items from any site (for example, I added some stuff from Crate & Barrel and it shows up on my Amazon registry).

we had a target registry, and as much as i liked the gifts we got from there, keeping the registry updated was a pain in the ass. they were constantly discontinuing items or items would be “out of stock.” it got pretty frustrating.

I’ve never had a problem with returns at Macy’s. You don’t need a receipt or anything. I even returned a few sets of china without the original packaging, almost a year after the wedding when we realized they’d accidentally sent us the wrong pattern, and they gave us free shipping AND credited my account because the pattern was on sale that week. What did you hear?

We got all the All Clad we could possibly need at Macy’s, but you can get it at C&B, too (is there something specific that you want that is out of stock?). Bloomingdales also has it, but it’s more expensive than Macy’s. (Someone got us an off-registry gift at Bloomingdales that we didn’t want, so I returned it and got the All Clad wok… which was $180 at Bloomingdales, as opposed to $150 at Macy’s). We also get lots of coupons for completion, and a lot of credits after the wedding toward free stuff. πŸ™‚

We’re doing Target and Amazon.  We’re thinking the older folks will appreciate going into and actual store (hence Target) and then we can use Amazon to register for climbing gear and other things that won’t be at ‘regular’ registry stores.

@spaniel:

I got $200 to spend after the wedding via Registry Rewards! Waited for a pressure cooker we wanted to go on sale then used the 20% completion discount with our free $. It was AWESOME. πŸ™‚ And we still had a ton of $$$ left. hehe.

@Gerbera: Nice! We used it to get our All Clad multi-cooker. OMG. I use it all the time. πŸ™‚

It really depends on your family/guests. Think about where they shop most. That’s how we picked where to register.

Also… if it’s your registry, why would you want to return anything?

And… hi!!
