So those scan guns can be a bit tricky sometimes, and after we registered we came home and checked online to check and make sure everything was all set. Yet it was then that we had discovered we had accidentally registered for some things that were totally unintended.
Best uninentional scan? A jar of queso dip. We had meant to register for the dip DISH, but somehow scanned it. Would have loved to see though if someone had bought us the queso, but we removed it. (Sidenote, why is Crate and Barrel selling queso?)
Anyone else do anything like this? What was your best “wrong” scan?

Ha! The only thing that happened with ours that was funny was I work at a ski resort and my ID is a season pass which is always clipped on my coat… as we were walking through Target the scanner kept flipping out and making weird noises.
The way he was holding it put the laser-y part pointing at the bar code on my pass and it was making the machine error out saying item not found 🙂
What wasn’t as fun was not realizing the stuff that popped up with limited inventory meant it wasn’t going to appear on our registry. Bummer!

@abbyful: It’s a sign that you should get a cat! I mean, really. Cat’s are awesome.

Heh, these are pretty great. I haven’t actually scanned anything for our registry, I’ve done it all online.
