@mandypop: In my opinion, probably the best wording on your wedding website regarding your registries is no additional wording at all (or something VERY simple such a heading that reads “Our Registries”) followed by the registry links themselves.  By providing the links in a subtle location on your wedding website (i.e. they should not be a dominant element or in a prime location such as the top of the page), guests who choose to visit your website will have the opportunity to look for and click on this information if they should wish to do so.

I think the wording is great.  I included the registry along with all my other headings.  As long it’s not the first page or the largest font it’s fine.

@mandypop: If I had a choice, based on the website/template you are using, I personally would not choose to make it a heading at the top of the page, giving it equal weight with those other, much more important elements. If I could, I would put it a less dominant location, perhaps toward the bottom of a page. I think something such as, “Our Registries” is an acceptable heading somewhere else on the site, followed by the actual links themselves.

People who want to buy you something that is an actual gift will often ask either you, your family or your bridal party where you are registered.  People have been finding bridal registries since long before there were wedding websites.

I would not mention it any where on the website, which is the most correct by etiquette.

@mandypop: Convinient is different then polite.  It is also not that inconvinient to just search the major retailers, or call the person to ask.  Most people invited to weddings actually know and speak to the guests of honour or the hosts.  If it is that hard to find people will often just give cash gifts.
