Nice!

You think she’ll be ticked when she realizes that no one actually looks at the registry to buy gifts?

@MightySapphire – – are you serious?  omg my bestfriend who is also a bm was telling me about this yesterday. she was saying that her uncle and his wife bought something for them at one of the stores where they were registered and totally got something not on the registry…WTF people why do they think we do a registry, to help them!!!!

Sorry Jackie-O, but it is true.  The other thing people will do is look at your registry then say “Oh she wants a rice steamer and a toaster.”  Then they go to BigLots and buy the ones on clearance and gift them to you.  So you can’t return them, AND they probably aren’t the specific models you asked for anyway.

I know it’s rude to critique your gifts…but when you have to donate them, it’ hard to think that cash would have been a lot more useful to you!!

I’m so afraid of this! We already have a lot of nice kitchen things (Kitchen Aid Artisan, etc) and I’m afraid when people don’t see them on the list, they’ll think they know better. Hmph. Maybe your friend had it right with the bouncy ball.

Could this be a regional thing?  Or some other factor??  Most of my friends who have gotten married have come really close to completing their registries… Hmmm…
