That’s a pretty big jump in size, I’ve always heard that you can usually take a dress up or down 3 sizes without changing the look of a dress.

They may have to add extra panels or fabric to it.

Do you have a picture of the dress?

EDIT : I read that wrong apparently.

There is a way to repair tulle on a dress, but I’ve read it’s pretty intricate.

@jenilynevette:  I think she means it looks like a 0 and she wants it to look like a 10 – not the actual size.

@rthed:  Personally, I have no experience in this but I’ll keep my fingers crossed that they can make it look fantastic!

Do you have any pics of the dress and the damage to it? Its easier to help if we can see it.

Its a stunning dress! I believe the petals could be fixed, I think a good seamstress could add them in properly and you would be surprised at what some good steaming can do for droopy petals. I think in the end you will see a dramatic difference between what it was and what it will be.

My dream dress that i got used didn’t make me feel as good as the one I tried on in the store… Until I took it to alterations. Up to that point it felt like I was wearing someone else’s dress. And steaming it will definitely put life back in your (very pretty!) dress. Mine had some tears in the lace and some small weird holes in the organza… I just had them repair the lace, and told myself that no one is going to be “assessing” my dress at the wedding so I shouldn’t worry. Keep us posted!

You will be amazed at what alterations and steaming can do. I had a friend wear her mother’s gowit and it really did go from a 0 to a 10 with some slight work and a steam.
