We are only having the bridal party and immediate family at our rehearsal so I’m not doing invites, just telling them where to show up after the rehearsal.  I think it depends on how large a dinner you will be having for the rehearsal.  If you are inviting Out of Town guests or extended family then yes I would send an invite so you could get a better guest count.  I don’t see a problem with doing an evite, though only if the affair was informal.  If you are planning on everyone meeting at a restaurant or someone’s house then yes, go for the evite.  If you are planning something much more formal then you should send a paper invite.  The invitation will set the tone for the event.  Good luck with your planning!!!

I think if you are going to do invitations, paper ones would be ideal.  But they aren’t necessary for a Rehearsal Dinner.

I did because our rehearsal dinner was on a Thursday instead of the typical Friday before the wedding plus I got a good deal on them from Vista Print.

I would have liked to send “real” invites but I had so much going on, I sent an e-vite. We just had our wedding party, parents, and musicians and everyone came except Future Father-In-Law who had to work 🙁

We invited all essentially all guests  – we did an Evite and actually the responses came in a lot faster than they did with the wedding RSVPs!!
