We’re having our rehearsal dinner at buffalo wild wings.. LOL.

We wanted something fun & everyone to have a great time. Our rehearsal dinner probably won’t be HUGE, just the bridal party, parents, officiant & DJ [we’re friends with the dj]. We don’t plan on using an overly religious officiant either, so that helps.

I think you can have your rehearsal dinner wherever the heck you want!

I think it’s a great idea!  We had ours at a pizzeria/bar – I didn’t give it a second thought.  We had a GREAT time!

So basically what’s gonna happen is we’re gonna have brunch around 11, head to decor the venue & decorate until about 4 or 5, we’ll go to BWW for rehearsal dinner, [shouldnt take more than 2 hours], and head back to the venue for last minute decor. If we run late, we’ll make a stop at a local bar/family restauraunt around 9 pm for drinks/eats before going back to our hotel.

I met my fiance at a bar and that’s where we are having our rehersal dinner. I wanted something causual and fun were doing pizza and apps all traditional bar food. I don’t care if people don’t like the idea, this place is important and sentimental to us! Besides  most of the wedding party were there the night we met haha. Another added bonus we are doing the rehersal two nights before the wedding so everyone can relax and have a good time!

@BHB0526:  Save formal for the wedding!  For us I think the relaxed vibe of the bar really helped the bridal party and siblings, some of whom hadn’t yet met each other, get to know each other and mingle.

We are having ours at a bar too!! It’s more of a restaurant/spors bar.. but it’s definitely a bar atmosphere. I think there’s nothing wrong with it! We will have a private room, and it’s not a “hole in the wall” type place.. we’re having finger foods/apps-not a sit down dinner. Everyone is super excited. They like that it’s laid back, and everyone is familiar with the place.. and how can you go wrong with yummy bar food?

I wouldn’t be worried.. it’s free food and drinks, no one is going to turn it down or think badly of it.

@BHB0526:  There are no rules stating where you should or should not have a rehearsal dinner, honestly a rehearsal dinner in my opinion should be laid-back and a casual night of dining, drinks, and socializing the night before the big day. I don’t think having a rehearsal dinner at a bar is trashy especially if they are closing the bar for you so that you can have a private party. That is awesome that the owner is thrilled to do this for you! Lucky you. 🙂  And if someone thinks it’s trashy, who care what they think. It is your rehearsal dinner and people should come to enjoy themselves, mingle, and have fun! 🙂

Oh, I’d be totally down with attending a rehearsal dinner there. Sounds like a fine place. I also like that there are pool tables. All depends on what look you’re going for. I wouldn’t bust out any candelabras, but you can decorate it nice and it not seem out of place.

We had ours at a pizzaria/sports bar also and it was awesome!  It was very casual and people told us they had a great time!

By me, it’s very common that the rehearsal dinner is more casual than the wedding itself, and it’s not uncommon at all to have it at a bar.  I say go for it!

It all depends on you and your Fiance and your friends and family. My best friends rehearsal was in a room within a bar. We had food, free drinks for 2 hours, and got to spend time with the bride and groom. Everyone had a great time. It was less about the place and more celebrating my friend and her husband. Will you like it if you have it there? Will FI? If yes, then your guests should too.

Heck yeah!!  I don’t understand super fancy rehearsal dinners.  We had Bucca Di Beppo cater our rehearsal dinner and had it in a bar that was attached to the theatre we got married in.  Go for it!!
