Depends on what the vibe is.  I love casual comfy bar food (think wings, pizza, mexican)… With that being said I cannot see how it would over 15 per person with this idea for me… I of course could go with something way swankier and be around the price you’re at…

Our in-laws paid for a our rehearsal dinner at a really nice italian restaurant.

I think they paid around $45/pp including tax tips and alcohol for 40 people.

you can definitely do it SO much cheaper, but my Mother-In-Law wanted to do it this way, so we did!

My Future Father-In-Law is paying for our rehearsal dinner, and it’s at a really nice italian restaurant downtown. He said for the room, pasta, salad, bread, and unlimited soft drinks for everyone we are looking at 10 bucks per person. There will be about 30 people, so I say 300 bucks is a steal. I’m sure you could do it alot cheaper than 25 bucks+ per person.

We are doing a backyard BBQ, so ours will be super cheap!

The building I live in has an enclosed rooftop area with a bar, views of downtown Chicago, and is right next to lake Michigan.  We’re just ordering pizza, snacks, and putting out liquor, beer, and mixers.  We’re hoping to keep it under $15-20/head.  We can’t afford to do any more because our reception is going to be ten times that cost.

Are you paying for it? Traditionally, the groom’s parents pay for the rehearsal dinner. If they are paying for it, you should talk to them about what they’re willing to spend. If not, I am of no help what-so-ever cause we’re not having a rehearsal dinner. Sorry 🙁

FI’s parents are paying for this, but ours is pretty casual.  Pizza, pastas, salads, etc. at a local greek restauarant.
