Did you actually wear it to the previous engagement party?

Do you think it is a distinctive enough dress that it will remind people of the prior occasion?  That would be the deciding factor for me.

Since you really like it, I think it would be fine to wear again. It sounds like it is a little bit of a reminder of a sad time, but if you want to give it a new life with happier memories, go for it!!! How many of the same people will be at the rehearsal dinner who were at your “unreception”? Probably no one will remember what you wore anyway, unless it was terribly unique.  (When I complain about rewearing something that I’ve worn before, my mom always challenges me with, “Well, do you remember what the other people there wearing?” And of course I don’t (the vast majority of the time!)).

As long as you and your fiance are comfortable with it, I say go for it!

Ok now I am following.. Sorry! 🙂

I probably wouldn’t wear it just because of what it represented at the time. Plus if people remember the dress they will think of the past and that whole situation.

I’d wear it. I usually don’t remember what I wore the previous week, let alone what someone else wore 7 years ago! Remember, you decide what the dress represents, not the other way around 🙂
