i think it looks great! it’s normal to have buyers remorse for a minute when the thing you’re buying is so important to you.  But I don’t think you need to be worried about this one! rock it!

I think you look fantastic, if anything- I think it just needs to be pressed.

I think it looks gorgeous! Love the color! Once it’s pressed, I think you may feel differently about the fit of it because the material will look and fall the way it was intended to.

I think the dress fits fine. I think the problem is the self tie belt. Is the waist elasticized? or is the skirt gathered to a fitted waist?

I would replace the belt-it will give the dresss a more modern look.

something like this from White House Black Market

I think it is a smashing color on you and style, but I think I know what is off about it. In the first photo, the belt is not flush with the line of fabric at the waist (where the bodice joins the skirt portion) so it looks like you have two lines going across there. Just tie the belt tighter or fasten the belt a little higher so it covers that waistline and I think that will make a world of difference! Freshen it up with a light pressing and you’re set! πŸ™‚

@julies1949: Ooh good call! I thought it looked perfect, but now that you mention that, I think a belt like that would make it 110% perfect. πŸ™‚

I really love the color. I would try it with a different, wider belt or sash, maybe?  That belt looks a little wimpy with the dress. and it’s falling below the seam, which looks a little strange as well.

I think it’s just the belt. The one you have would still work if you tied it higher, as others suggested, or you could definitely find another belt to go with it. Either way, the dress is beautiful (I love the color!)
