so I’m trying to secure my rehearsal dinner, my fiance’s dad is willing to pay for it and gave me a set budget, which I thought was pretty generous… but after meeting with a few caterers and restaurants… I’m beginning to think it may not be possible finding someone within our range!
Do you mind telling me how much you paid per head for the rehearsal dinner? Thanks!

We went to a restaurant where the average meal was about $18-$20 & we had just around 20 people. Our bill was about $700 if that gives you any idea!

We are trying to keep as close to $1,000 as possible for around 25 people…FI’s fam offered to pay, and I don’t want to cause any heartattacks! But I’m looking for historic district restaurants with private dining in Charleston, SC and I’m finding out that they are more like $40/head and up! Yikes!

We’re having a ridiculously big rehearsal dinner – about 50 people. The total for everything is just over $3600. Which averages about $72 per person. That includes alcohol. YIKES!

We are having ours at a Fun Park in the area. 14.75/person with about 30 pp. We r looking at $500.

Our rehearsal dinner is more per head than our wedding dinner. I think it depends where you’re having it as well as if they have a min. $ you need to spend. Our min $ is $1500 and that is food/bev combined. FH’s parents are also paying which we cannot be more thnkful for, however we are in a city and its pricier than we thought…
Don’t get discouraged b/c of the prices or quotes you’re receiving…There are always ways to work with the given budget…

Our dinner is about $20 per head. Make sure you ask about discounts. We are getting a 10% discount because my Fiance is in the military. See what they have available.

Ours is about $35/head, but that doesn’t include alcohol, so I’m guessing it will end up being closer to $50/head. With 35-40 people, it will probably come out to close to $2000…gah!

oh wow some of you budgeted a lot for that! Well I’m guessing we’ll have about 30-40 people because his dad wants all the out-of-state family to be invited as well. The place we wanted to have it had a $1000 minimum and no one in his family drinks alcohol. It was a little over his dad’s budget. Plus there is a $300 set-up fee in addition… So not sure if we can receive discounts with that, I’m pretty sure the minimum is a set price.
We’re not even doing a dinner at our wedding reception, because we can’t afford it. And we probably wouldn’t be able to do a rehearsal dinner if his dad hadn’t so kindly offered to pay for it, which I am so appreciative!!
