I’m looking for a place to have the rehearsal dinner for my January wedding in Atlanta. We’ll probably have between 40 and 60 people. I’m looking for several different price points. Thanks!

We’re getting married at a church in Midtown near the Fox Theater, so somewhere in midtown would be great, since most of our guests are from out of town.
Gordon Biersch $ – a brewery and restaurant so it’s casual, American food, there is an upstairs where they have private parties
Ecco $$ – New Italian, I’d reccommend the food here, sometimes the bar at the front of the restaurant can get a little noisy, but there’s a private room
Baraonda $$ – Italian, great pizzas and right next to the Fox
One Midtown Kitchen or Two Urban Licks $$$ – they are owned by the same restaurant group, they’re both edgy modern American but they do have different menus, and decor
Empire State South $$$ – Farm to table seasonal American, excellent food
Restaurant Eugene $$$$ – Fine dining, considered one of the best restaurants in town
@Zusie: Great list! I really like Eugene. Their drinks are fantastic too. I wish I could afford it on a regular basis!
There’s also Abbatoir (outstanding food but will not please vegetarians and picky eaters), Atmosphere (French), South City Kitchen (Fancy Southern), Veni Vidi Vici (Italian, hs spaces for large parties), and The Nook (very casual, right on Piedmont Park). Oh, and if you want your guests to have a true Southern meal, there’s also Mary Mac’s Tea Room.
Also check out Miller Union. I’m not sure if they do events or not but their food is amazing and love the atmosphere.
