We are having ours at Dinosaur BBQ!  They have a new private room upstairs with its own bar, amazing view of the Genessee River, and it’s right downtown.  Smile

Ivoryowl, I’m not sure on your preferences for type of cuisine, but Bamba Bistro on Alexander Street has a private room that would accomodate a group that size and good food.  It doesn’t have a dramatic view but the building is interesting and it’s close to downtown. Good luck!

Depending on what type of food you want I love the Gate House and they have a private room, but not much of a view.

Frontier Field home of the Rochester Red Wings baseball team is a great place for weddings and rehearsals-  the view is great and you get entertainment !

I was going to say Good Luck is a great place but might not be able to accomodate 35 people and there’s not really a view per se but the space is awesome. Trata at the armory on Culver might be a good place to check out too. It’s fairly new and they have lots of spaces for parties to happen. I was just there last week but heard that they have an outdoor patio that could be awesome in June-plus it overlooks cobbs hill and that little pond/fountain thing across the street!

Dinosaur would be fun for a more casual get together. There are tons of places with beautiful views just outside of the city too like on the canal in Pittsford or Fairport.
