Hi – at our rehearsal both the musician and our Day Of Coordinator will be there. The musician to do a complete trial of our ceremony music, timing, etc and our DOC to help out, organize, direct, get items from me, etc. Immediately following the rehearsal is our dinner at a restaurant near by. Is it etiquette, or even expected, that I invite these two people to our rehearsal?
I have absolutely no problem doing that and would be happy to have them there; but I am just curious what the trend is these days and is anyone else inviting vendors to their rehearsal dinner?
Thanks & have a great day!

The short answer is no, you don’t need to invite them. If you feel especially bonded with your DOC, then it’s a lovely gesture, but not expected at all.

Other than family and persons actually in the wedding, we are inviting the officiant and his wife, and our photographers (as they will come to the rehearsal). I have no idea whether they will attend, but we consider them friends and would love to have them there. If they were less like friends and more like vendors, we probably would not invite them.
I think glittergrl is right though, and you are not expected to invite your vendors even if they participate in the rehearsal.
