Yes, rehearsal dinners usually involve a written invitation in the mail. My Future In-Laws sent out the invitations to our rehearsal dinner last week. Usually you send a written invitation for bridal showers as well, but not always for bachelorette parties (though it is a nice touch).

If your rehearsal dinner is very casual, though, you might use a different means of invitation. The best option for convenience is often to insert a card into the invitation for people who are invited to the rehearsal dinner.

We are just doing an Evite. I just figured since all guests are invited for our rehearsal dinner that we didn’t need to do it but Future Mother-In-Law insisted so whatever!! Our Rehearsal Dinner is very casual though – BBQ picnic style with lawn games.

Yes, Future Mother-In-Law ordered invites from WPD for the Rehearsal Dinner.

We wrote and mailed notes to those who were invited to the Rehearsal Dinner. We sent along a description of the timeline from the rehearsal through the reception.
