    I’m in the midwest and have never gotten an invitation to a rehearsal dinner.  However, due to Vistaprint and their amazing deals, I did go ahead and had some made up for our rehearsal dinner.

    It really depends on how formal it is.. some people choose to do it and some people choose not to. I dont think there is a right or wrong answer here

    I sent out evites.  I was in a friend’s wedding last year and I got a paper evite mailed to me…I thought that was silly.

    I hadn’t put too much thought into it but my Future Mother-In-Law asked about them and since our wedding party is from all over and will be travelling it seemed like a good idea to have something written down on paper with location information. I planned to include it in the wedding invites but Future Mother-In-Law asked me to send them seperately so I did.

    I have been to quite a few rehursal dinners and have never recieved an invitation. Therefore we will not be sending them for the rd. I mean we will all (wellmost of us) be there for the actual rehursal right before that. idk I think of it as a pointless expense. But I dont get it either why there are invites for everything else.

    I think it a nice idea to send invites, but if it’s really infomal I don’t think they are necessary. Maybe just evites…

    I sent out the rehearsal dinner invites with my invitations.   I think this may have confused a few people though.

    I see no point in them either. Most of the Rehearsal Dinner I’ve attended or planned included just the Bridal Party with dates and immediate family, so we just told everyone. No big deal.

    I had every intention of sending invitations.  At least by email.  But in the midst of it, it just didn’t happen.  It was a destination wedding, so everyone was there the night before anyway.  We just spread by word of mouth:  bridal party and dates, immediate family and grandparents.  And I mentioned it in correspondence leading up to the wedding.  Plus we did Out of Town bags with welcome letters, so the people that were invited had information about the rehearsal dinner in that too.  But yeah, I failed at sending out more paper products.  Oh well.

    We aren’t.  I’ve attended at least 9 rehearsal dinners and never received an invitation.  Some of them have been large and formal, others have been just the bridal party.  I’ll just spread the word since it’s just bridal party members.
