@Ms Rocky Point:  I think it’s still far out for them to be thinking of that.  I can see why you’d think this far ahead – you are in planning mode!  But they are not in the same mind set, so they are probably thinking of not starting for a little bit yet,.

My in laws booked our rehearsal like last week…you still have plenty of time. I honeslty do NOT even care about the rehearsal, given that the wedding will be a TON of work.

Well my wedding is a month away and we’re just now booking the rehearsal dinner.  When we talked to the restaurant a month or two ago they said they wouldn’t take the reservation that early.  You still have plenty of time.

Most restaurants won’t even take reservations that early in advance, it’s not like wedding vendors so don’t worry you can relax about this one!

We’re getting married in September and we had FI’s parents book the rehearsal dinner in December. We didn’t actually have them do anything. They’re so clueless with the internet (his dad is early 70s and his mom just never learned) that they gave us a maximum price per person and we gathered information for two nearby places and then helped pick. Future Mother-In-Law will probably have a heart attack when she finds out she’s responsible for sending out invitations to the rehearsal dinner.

We booked our rehearsal dinner early because I wanted a private room since our Rehearsal Dinner is where all family toasts are happening and I wanted it more private. Not to mention getting married/having the rehearsal in the Inner Harbor of Baltimore City. Things book up fast. There are at least 5 wedding venues in 3 blocks and most of the restaurants are waaaay out of FI’s parents budget of $35 per person including tax and tip.

no worries, lady. we booked our rehearsal dinner about a month before our big day. if it’s a busier place that you have in mind, i’d gently pass on this info to them so they don’t stress out. good luck!
