I’m venting. Now I know there are some couples out their that are paying for the rehearsal dinner on their own but that isn’t the case with me. My parents are paying about 85% of the wedding and are paying close to $175 a person for the wedding. They allowed my Fiance and his Dad to invite 100 guests (which my parents will cover).
Now, at first my Future Father-In-Law complained and didn’t see why he had to pay for the rehearsal dinner. ARE YOU SERIOUS?
Anyways, after some persuasion from his family, he said he will take care of the whole rehearsal. Wonderful, great! But my Fiance is worried that when the time comes, he’ll complain about the cost.
At this point, I honestly don’t give a crap if he complains. My parents are paying close to $200 pp for his 100 guests so does his argument really hold water when he has to pay $25 a pop for the dinner? I don’t think so.
I’ve talked to some friends and they went through the same thing with their in-laws, so now I don’t feel so bad.
