I’m getting married at the Fuller Craft Museum in Brockton, MA and we are having a hard time finding a restaurant for a rehearsal dinner for about 40 people. The 2 restaurants close to our hotel don’t have private rooms, and we hear they get pretty loud on Friday nights. We’re not looking for anything super fancy or formal, we just don’t want to get drowned out by any games that night 🙂
Part of me just wants to eat Swedish meatballs at the IKEA in Stoughton, MA. LOL. Can you tell already that I don’t live in the area and am a long distance planning bride to be?
Local ladies, I would love to hear your suggestions. Thanks so much!

Mr Starfish and I went to the Stoneforge in Easton a few months ago, the food was really good! They have seperate dining areas, too, but not sure how many they fit.

@starfish: Thanks! This looks like a great spot!

Not to be a downer but a lot of my family is buried in a cemetary in Brockton and we always have the funeral meal at Christo’s. It’s Greek food so it may not be a huge crowd pleaser depending on your family and friends.. but the food is really good and I know they have a private room.

I know this is a little old, but I am also getting married at the Fuller Craft Museum! My Future Father-In-Law just booked the Stoneforge. It is a little difficult to do, but with some pushing you can do it. They will tell you that they do not book their private room for Friday or Saturday nights, but they will. We are booked in for 7/1/11 there.

I second (or third?) the Stoneforge rec. I’m from the Northshore, but my best friend lives down in Brockton, and we’ve done lunch there a few times. Food’s great, and it has a nice atmosphere to it.

I am also getting married at the Fuller Craft Museum in August of this year. I am now planning my rehersal dinner. I have been to the Stoneforge, I love their food! I will look into that myself. Christos is a locals’ favorite here, it hasnt’ changed much in the last 30 years, so the decor is a bit dated, but the food is good and the price is right. I am also going to look into what they can do. It is greek food and the owner (Christo) is there every night, and has been for the last 30+ years. Pasta Bene (in Brockton) is also one I am looking into. It is a italian place, in a strip mall, so it looks a bit odd, but the food is great and they have private rooms as well. There is Nocera’s in Brockton/Stoughton. I haven’t checked into them yet, but I suspect they have a private room.
