This week I have tasked myself with booking the Rehearsal Dinner. So far, I found a GREAT local place right down the road from the venue. It is $16 pp and you have the option of:
Guests can pick 3- 4 depending on what the final count is:
1. Grilled Chicken Breast
2. Chicken Marsala
3. 6oz Grilled Salmon
4. 7oz Sirloin
5. 6oz Pork Chop
All served with baked potato, salad, bread and non alcholic drink, although they do have a bar so we may do 1 voucher pp.
So, what are YOUR plans for the Rehearsal Dinner and do you think that gives people enough of an option to chose from? We will not have any vegetarians in attendance for the Rehearsal Dinner. Have you booked already?

It wasn’t “next” but we’re doing good ol chinese food.
Fiance is Chinese and I’m half… so it just makes sense.

@vmec: so I see we are date twins… were you getting a lot of ” you’re trying to book me on Mothers Day weekend!” responses?
The florist AND a couple of restaurants tried to give me a hard time about it!
By The Way doing Chinese food is a great idea… sounds good!

I have a lot of friends and family coming from out of town. I am thinking of having a bbq at the house on the Thursday evening with the friends and family that are already here (which isn’t too many). And then on the Friday, post-rehearsal, I am lucky to have one of our designated hotels willing to book off half the bar/lounge for drinks with happy hour pricing and appies and platter at deal pricing. I am hoping to surprise the Fiance with a comic book themed grooms cake that night too.

Nice, those are good prices. I’m hoping to find something similar when we start planning for our rehearsal dinner. We’lll need one vegetarian option, and also some wine with dinner if possible, but it will all depend on the prices we get once we start looking. I have no idea what to expect in my city in terms of price for a group. We have quite a few people coming to the rehearsal dinner too .

We are doing it at a tapas restaurant. Dinner will be family style and an open bar. We are inviting about 125 people (eek). It is one of our favorite restaurants and they have a great room so i am really excited!

We’re having an intimate rehearsal dinner for just the bridal party at a downtown Chi hotel restaurant. We love the venue, and it’s a block and a half away from the ceremony venue, so, weather permitting, we can just walk. Woot!

We’ve rented a house for the weekend out in the country, so we’re having a 3-course rehearsal dinner there (outside on the patio) with just immediate family and folks in the bridal party. The caterer is going to bring in everything along with a chef and a server to take care of us for the night. It’s not cheap, but will be intimate and fun I think. I’m picturing one of those loooonnnggg dining tables. 🙂

Spaghetti Warehouse. Because I like to keep it kitchy, hilarious, and cheap.

@KristenGotMarried: ohhhh I love that!
@vmec: LOL… yes, that was my reaction when I figured out from the florist that the price was only going to increase from there!
@FootballGirl: we are doing BBQ for the reception.. good call!
@Missido: I know.. our list for the Rehearsal Dinner keeps growing!!!
@cz1789: that sounds like a great idea, I originally wanted something within walking distance to the ceremony site but we just couldnt swing it!
@CarolineM: holy cow 125 for the RD!!!!! Bless your heart! lol
@serenitymd: ohhhh I love that idea… seriously.. post pics when it is all done!
This ^^^ is the bar at the rehearsal dinner location… I think it looks pretty sweet!

We are using the Amenity Room in FI’s building. It was only built 2 years ago so the colors are red/grey and very mod. The invitations were my second DIY project and are in a vellum envelope with some different sized circle confetti in red, grey and black. Invites/decor will match the room!
We are serving Vietnamese Banh Mi from our fave place and gelato pre-scooped from another local hot spot. Keeping it classy while keeping it casual. 🙂

That bar DOES look pretty sweet! 🙂

We met at a local restaurant (was our 1st jobs too) so, we are having our Rehearsal Dinner catered by the restaurant. It will be just the bridal party and immediate family at our farm picnic table style.

We’re keeping it super casual, pizza & beer at our fav local joint.
