Let the wedding party loose to do what they want

Invite the wedding party to join us at a nearby restaurant and everyone pay their own way?

Invite wedding party back to our house for pizzas or Chinese food?

Have everyone over at your house. Asking people to pay for a plate of food at a resturant is expesnive for them too. Why not make it better for everyone and just do pizza? I would order some salad(or make your own), potato salad, maybe even fruit salad. You could do some simple veggie trays too.

we’re definitely doing the second, and would be doing the third if we had enough room in our apartment to host 30 people.

We’re doing a casual dinner at my house after the rehearsal. It’s cheap and casual and lets everyone relax and get to know each other before the big day. I don’t think anyone would be upset with pizza or Chinese. I know I wouldn’t!

We in the same situation, we are paying for everything and cannot afford to host an actual rehearsal dinner. We are ordering pizzas 🙂

We were lucky enough to book a block of rooms at a hotel where it is brand-new and all-suites. I still can’t believe we got such a great price! So, we’re staying over the day before our wedding and our wedding night. We live just far enough for it to be a pain in the patootie to drive home then back to our venue early the next morning.

The room has a kitchen area with full-size fridge and cooktop. We plan on ordering pizzas and having everyone up to our suite. We’ll have extra chairs borrowed from our friends and my parents also staying at the hotel. I’m supplementing the pizzas with sides, sodas, beer, etc. I bring from home. It may be cramped and some may even have to sit on the bed ..but it’s this or nothing ..we’re paying for 75% of our wedding – getting close to going overbudget and renting a room to host a dinner or taking everyone out for dinner is WAY out of our price range.

Our wedding party is fine with this idea. They are just happy to kick back and hang out. Laughing
