I’ve heard that the bride’s rehearsal dinner outfit is supposed to reflect a side of the bride’s style that guests may not see at the wedding itself. I have taken this to heart and I think I’ve hit the nail on the head.
The buzzwords I like to use for my wedding outfit: Romantic and Soft.
The buzzwords for my rehearsal dinner outfit: Chic and Stylish.

My wedding dress is pretty much going for the romantic, princess look. I don’t have pictures yet but it will be a mix of these, but with different fabric (and white of course) and some other customizations
My rehearsal dinner is the exact opposite, its is professional and sharp, and has a bit of background story. My fiance and I are both active duty in the Navy, and both sets of parents were really upset he would not be wearing his dress uniform to the wedding. So I figured, “what’s good for the gander is good for the goose.”, so I will also be wearing my dress uniform

@NaijaPuertoDorian: Love the story! It’s great that you are incorporating the Navy dress uniforms into the rehearsal dinner!
LOVE that column dress! Two similar looks, but with very distinct ‘vibes’!
Keep ’em coming ladies!!!

My wedding dress–SUPER embellished strapless sweetheart bodice with a full tulle skirt.
My rehearsal dress–ivory one-strap knee-length dress with same-color leopard print and a huge bow on the shoulder 🙂

@thenextmrsi: It is? Uh oh, my rehearsal dress is pretty much the same “vibe” as my wedding dress.

I’d not heard that before. I just found an ivory dress I liked for the rehearsal. But I guess it sort of went.
