- Wedding: April 2013
I’ve been checking around town for prices at local restaurants for our rehearsal dinner. Fiance and I agreed that, since our wedding will be semi-casual, we wanted to go somewhere more casual and fun after rehearsing. So, it was kind of a no-brainer that I’d check out one of our favorite cafes/restaurants that’s less than 3 minutes away from the church where we’d rehearse/get married. However, because they don’t have a private room (I don’t mind – I don’t feel the need to be in a private room) we’d have to sit at a few tables (in the same area). The problem? They can’t accomodate my large group (30-35) until after 7:45PM because of the dinner rush. (They said we could come sooner, but we’d more than likely be scattered throughout the restaurant).
They have fantastic food and service and the prices are super affordable (we’d be able to feed everyone for about $320). We’ve been going there for awhile now and we’ve never had an issues. (We even took FI’s step-father once and he always finds faults with restaurants and even he didn’t have a bad thing to say and has since gone back several times).
We have the church for a rehearsal from 6:30-7:30, but I doubt we’ll need the entire hour. The ceremony will be slightly involved because I have three readings, a possible hand-fasting or wine and love letter ceremony, etc. So, my question is if 7:45 is too late to have dinner? (Mind you, this will take place on a Thursday night since our wedding is on a Friday).
What are you doing for your rehearsal dinner?
