I dont like the idea of having a rehersal dinner at a chain restaurant.  Just seems really impersonal.  Is there a local non chain place you could do?

but i guess if you had to do a chain I would do the one offering the $

@armychica06:  I voted for Fleming’s.  I’ve only been there once, and it was actually the one in West Hartford, CT, so I’m not sure if that’s the one you were thinking of.  The food was amazing and it was one of the best date nights I’ve ever had (Despite the fact that it was single digit temps outside…ahhh February in New England!)

I’ve never been to nor heard of Flemings, but I just went to Ruth Chris on Thursday for my FI’s birthday & the service and food were both amazing!

Go for the one with the free dinner! And I don’t think there is anything wrong with having a rehearsal dinner at a chain restuarant.

@armychica06:  Ok then I am definitely recommending Flemings!  The service & food were great, you can’t go wrong!

I think you should probably go eat a meal there before committing.  I personally don’t love the food at Flemings.  And Ruth’s Chris is the middle of the road for me.  Morton’s is my favorite chain steakhouse.

I have never been to either, but I’ve only heard bad things about Ruth’s Chris.

I’ve never been to Flemings, so I’d suggest looking into that one.  I’ve never had a good experience at Ruth’s Chris – I had an overcooked steak, mediocre wines, poorly made cocktails, and blah sides each time I’ve been there.
