The Pit is a nice barbecue place downtown (most likely where we’ll be having our reception). Our veg friends claim they have amazing barbecued tofu.

Also maybe look at 18 Seaboard in Seaboard Station by Peace College. They have a private room and AMAZING food.

Some places to check out- The Hive in Raleigh- it is the upstairs part of Busy Bee, this is where we had ours.  Very nice place good food. We had a buffet ourselves and a lot more people than that (about 50) but I think they can do a sit down option.  I’m sure they have some good vegetarian choices.  Also, they have a smaller area within the Hive that might be better for less people.

The Loft @ Natty Greene’s- this was really neat looking.  We didn’t look into it too much because the space was too small for what we needed.  But, Natty’s has great food and good beer.

The Big Easy- they have a little upstairs area.  I’m not sure about the food on their actual menu, but Belle’s Catering works out of this restaurant and made a custom menu for our wedding, so maybe they would do it at their restaurant too.  Plus, the food at our wedding was amazing, everyone loved it, it was all super fresh and Brooke was amazing to work with.  (and their chef was nice too)

Good luck!!

I’ve heard that La Volta on Fayetteville St does rehearsal dinners, also I personally adore Humble Pie around the corner from the Pit and their food never disappoints. I”m looking to do my rehearsal dinner at Cafe Luna actually!

@MrsFutureG:  Call them up – maybe they’ll let you rent the whole place! I think that it could be a really neat idea.
