I have never even heard of that. Does he not realize that, um, you are going to be doing other things (like getting ready!) the day of the wedding?

He must have a reason for it? Maybe if he’s not available to do the rehearsal the night before, could he delegate it to someone else (like his secretary or something.)

I guess if it was the only option I would do it (maybe, I’d have to think long and hard about it)…but I would NOT want to!  I really don’t want to be worrying about a rehearsal and what goes along with it on my wedding day.  I want to relax and drink some champagne and have my hair and makeup done and laugh with my Bridesmaid or Best Man and my mom.  NOT go through a rehearsal.

Has he told you why?  I definitely wouldn’t have the patience for it that day!  I’d get much more out of it the day or so before.

My venue suggested this as an option to me as well. They will likely have another wedding on Friday night, as I am getting married on a popular holiday weekend.

We have decided to move the rehearsal to a banquet room at our hotel. MY DOC suggested it, actually. There is NO WAY I feel comfortable rehearsing the morning of the wedding. No thank you!

In your case, since it’s up to the pastor, that’s WAY more tricky. Can you pay him a little extra to work on Friday?

If you can convince him that would be your best bet.  Otherwise…What about on Thursday night?  This might not work though if you have people coming in from out of town that won’t necessarily be there yet.  But if everyone lives in town or within half an hour it might be just fine

If you had a rehersal one terrible thing about it is your fiance would see you before the ceremony or “first look”

    Just something to think about.
