So, we need to decide which day to hold our rehearsal/rehearsal dinner. Our wedding is on a Saturday. All of my bridesmaids are from out of town. The closest lives 1.5 hours away.
Thursday: Pros – Can party and have a great time at the rehearsal dinner
Cons – Bridal Party would have to come an extra day in advance, what would we do on Friday??
Friday: Pros – Better for bridal party
Cons: Will have to make sure I go to bed at a decent hour and not drink too much.
Which would you do?? Or have you done??

I just did the nails and girls day on friday and then the rehersal dinner. We still drank and had fun because really everyone is too excited to sleep anyway so why not have some fun! It was also easier for my girls to just come friday instead of taking off early/alld ay thursday. Also better if you are inviting OOT guests as well!

Since your whole party is from out of town do it Friday and make it easier for them.

My Rehersal Dinner will be on a Friday after the Rehersal. Your Wedding Party know that you have to be up the next day…..you just have to have some control….lol. Did you ask the Wedding Party what they thought about it?

I have not asked my wedding party yet, if they wanted to be in my wedding party. 🙂 So, no I have not asked them what they thought about it yet. I think I can maintain control, especially if my parents are there. My fiance is worried about what if he eats something his body doesn’t like then he is sick on our wedding day. I told him to stick to bread and water then. 🙂

I have thought about this too because the best man coaches football and probably would not be able to attend on a Friday. I plan on asking my out of town bridesmaid when she is planning on coming into town. Maybe she plans on being there by Thursday anyway! I’d ask the wedding party for their opinion and make an executive decision based on that.

We’re having a DW and all guests are invited to our “welcome dinner.” We booked the venue back in Jan. and at that time just assumed, naturally, that Friday would be better. It turns out that most of our guests are coming into town on Thursday…but we had no way of knowing that at the time. I figure I probably wouldn’t want to go overboard on eating and drinking even on Thursday because I do need to fit into the dress! Anyway my wedding doesn’t start till 5:00 on Sat., so the guests should be able to enjoy the food and open bar at the welcome dinner even if I won’t be taking full advantage.

our wedding was on the sunday and we did our rehearsal dinner on the saturday. I don’t think people will mind not getting drunk because they will be getting drunk and partying the next night. We still had a great time. we started the dinner at 7:30 and left at 11:30… it was really nice.
