We’re hosting a somewhat formal dinner at a local restaurant for our bridal parties & immediate family.  We’re going to have a little cocktail & appetizer hour, then a 3-course meal.  We’re letting my Future Mother-In-Law plan it all.  It’s like her little project.

Since we’re giving her that, the night before our wedding (for logistical reason, the rehearsal is the week before the wedding), we’re inviting our bridal parties over for a very casual crab feast/cook out at my parent’s house.

We are having a very informal dinner at my FI’s aunt’s house. She lives within walking distance from the church. My mom, Future Mother-In-Law, and aunt are all going to make different dishes to bring (pulled pork, chicken piccatta, and an assortment of appetizers).

We’re hoping to do a BBQ either at my mom’s house or at the inlaw’s home.

We’re having a buffet dinner at a local italian restaurant.  Future Father-In-Law rented out the banquet room there.  Nothing fancy 🙂

We have a small wedding party and not too many out of town guests (lucky us, since we’re paying for it all!)

We’re going to have dinner at an Italian restaurant that has indoor Bocce courts!

We are having a super casual dinner at a restaurant near the hotel we’re staying at the night before. Open bar and sit down dinner, but really it’s a very relaxed thing.

We are having a buffet dinner at a resturant that is down the street from our house.  It’s special to us, and to my FIs parents.  We know the man that owns it, we know the bartenders/ servers well & if I am going to spend money on a dinner for 20, I’d rather give it to someone I know & a place that we love to go.  We go there all the time, and he is going to give us a great deal.

The overall decor of the place is NOTHING like what I would have selected – but they are only there for dinner, no big deal!

We’re having a plated dinner at a local restaurant.  It’s a private room, but there will only be 20 or so people there and they’ll order from a short menu.  It won’t be too formal though.  My Maid/Matron of Honor and I are calling it “Sundress Causal”.

We’re doing a casual dinner at a local thai restaurant 2 days before the wedding (Thursday). The restaurant has a set menu we can order from with 4 dinner entree choices (but set appetizer and dessert). The private room seats 75 but we’re only 30-35, so we have room to do the rehearsal at the back, and then sit at our tables for dinner without having to rearrange the room.

My Future Mother-In-Law was so excited to plan our rehearsal dinner. Our rehearsal will be at three in the afternoon, then everyone will go back to their houses to freshen up to be back at FMIL’s house for a BBQ.   🙂

Were doing a sit down dinner at a local Italian resturant. The food is super yummy! and it will give the guest time afterwards to walk around the down town area.

Casual at home party for us!   It’s actually going to be catered so I won’t have to worry too much about clean up.

We’re doing a BBQ/Wiffle Ball Game– Fiance and I looooove baseball (and there’s a chance our teams could face eachother around our wedding for the ALCS– Yanks vs Sox) and it’s a nice casual way for everyone to get to know eachother. His family is coming down from MA and my fam is here in CT.
