You could use wine bottles as a base for paper mache bowling pins.

Or, find some old bowling shoes at a thrift store and use them as a planter. Create miniature bowling shirts from painted foam core, attach to skewers and insert into the arrangement.

Make pomanders that look like ten-pin bowling balls- ie different  colors for the holes.

Use white vases with a ribbon to look like a bowling pin.

Find miniature or toy bowling pins-add a veil to one and a black tie to the other.

Find old bowling trophies at the thrift shop and have new plates engraved for them-

“Team  ___ and ___”

@Terryal87:  I haven’t done the bowling shoe centerpiece, but I have used a child’s rubber boot, cowboy boots etc.

If you want to use fresh flowers, just find a small low glass or other container that fits inside the opening of the shoe to use to hold the arrangement.

If you use plants, just tip it out of the pot it comes in and plant it inside the shoe.

You could have the trophies engraved and ready to go- then cover the engraved plate with a removeable sticker. Use them as your centerpiece then remove the sticker and present the trophies to the winners. That way you get rid of the centerpieces too!
