Our rehersal dinner will be very informal. It will be held in the garage of my father’s girlfriend. Only the wedding party and our parents are coming.
Main dish is homemade italian beef sandwhiches.
I am at a loss for what to serve on the side. I don’t want to do any sort of potato salad, cole slaw, or baked beans because they will be served the next night at the wedding and don’t want to feed our group something to similar twice.
Not everyone will eat a salad, and the men are harty eaters..

i know you said no salad but what about an antipasta. It has some sort of protein in it and it taste amazing. Or some hot wings. Who doesn’t love hot wings. Idk if that is Considered a side but it makes for a good appatizer 🙂

Corn on the cob. Roasted potatoes and toppings. I think I’d include a salad for a green option – maybe a nice Mediterranean themed one. A quinoa or Cous Cous salad.

Caprese skewers. Some sort of salad, even if everyone won’t eat it, oh well. What about a roast veggie medley – like bell peppers, asparagus, green beans, broccoli roasted in the oven drizzled with olive oil and garlic?

Thanks for the tips guys!
I like the idea of corn on the cob, the potatoes, and the veggie medley.
Still not goint with a salad, quinoa and cous cous aren’t a norm for this farming comunity so I highly doubt it would even be touched.

You could also do a fresh fruit salad.

what is your main for the wedding?
What about fries or chips or mashed potatoes, then fruit tray and veggie tray.
