So after not working out for almost 7 months…I reintroduced myself to our treadmill!!! I also downloaded the myfitnesspal ap for iphone! I want to lose about 30 pounds from now until Feb. Anyone else have the same goal or any weight loss goal??? Let’s motivate each other!!!! 🙂 I walked for 30 mins at a speed of 3.5 so it was about 2 miles. I will increase it each week. I am also going to work out with weights twice a week. So let’s do this!!!!

Good luck! Does myfitnesspal include diet? I’ve noticed that’s what really gets me to lose serious weight.

Yes it does, you enter in everything you eat plus any exercise, it’s a great tool and my fiance actually lost over 60 pounds using it and has kept it off for over a year!

@FutureMrs86: It is really important for weight loss and fat burning to alternate speeds and incline levels to keep your heart rate and body guessing.
I just shared this with a friend that also is returning to her treadmill and so far it is great, especially for those getting back into the groove.
0-1 min- Moderate Walk 3.5 speed (1 incline)
1-2 min- BriskWalk 4.0 speed (2.5 incline)
2-2:30 min- Jog/Spring 5.0-7.5 speed (2.5 incline)
2:30-3:30-Walk or Jog 3.5-6.0 speed (2.5 incline)
30 second Jog/Spring
1 minute Walk/Jog
Every time increasing the incline by .5 until you get up to 5.5 at 11:30.
12:30 Cool down with another brisk walk speed 4.0 (incline back down to 3).
14:00 Moderate Walk speed 3.5 (incline 2.0)
Finish at 15.
