Wow, that’s ridiculous…I think that’s definitely out of line, but sometimes can’t avoid it, especially at a big wedding where you might not even know it’s going on until later. we have a set up with assigned tables for the dinner and then another room with unassigned seating and cocktail tables for dessert and the reception. so hopefully people won’t have to put up with seats they don’t like for too long even if there is some switching.

yeah at my sister’s wedding which i was Maid/Matron of Honor for, i had an aunt sneak in new people and move around place cards. i had to threaten to throw her out if she wouldnt stop it. luckily my sister had no idea.
tacky yes, but sometimes thats how family is. *hitting head with heel of hand*

I’m a total witch, apparently. . . I would have totally have switched them back (if I caught it in time) and would have make that family feel like little children who were misbehaving and needed to be put in time-out.
Ya know, I say that b/c that’s how I usually am… but the day of our wedding, I was SO oblivious to anything that went “wrong” or not according to plan. One of my BMs didn’t smile in a single pic, his ex-girlfriend was wearing a really inappropriate red dress, and entrees got all kinds of messed up. . . but I didn’t notice any of it til we got in our photos. And the entree thing was pointed out b/c HE noticed it. Oh yeah, and my makeup guy kinda stayed for the wedding unexpectedly… which ended up being really fun!

Oh this is so hard to read guys! These stories are all so terrible. Some people are so clueless! I hope people are a little more respectful at my wedding but I guess you never know what might happen.
