Usually if I do some mild cardio like walking or jogging it helps my muscles to loosen up after a hard workout.

I hope it gets better soon.  I always find that the second day after a workout is the worst!

Epsom Salt bath.  The FH thought I was crazy, now I have 3 gallons of Epsom salt under my bathroom counter right now.  Works for tons of stuff.

Massage!  It helps get rid of the lactic acid build up in your muscles that causes the soreness.   Yeah, and definitely epsom salt bath will help.   🙂

I second the suggestion – believe me i’ve been there with the pain of not being able to get up, sit on the toilet with any kind of dignity, or walk without looking like an old lady.  But, get up and get moving, cause the longer you are sedentary after a tough workout, the longer it will take the lactic acid to drain from your muscles, and thats whats hurting you.  Just go outside and start walking, you’ll loosen up eventually, i promise!  Also, drink lots of water and take some hot baths before & after the walk.  Good luck!

Hot bath, massage, drink extra water, BIOFREEZE!  Of course, you can’t put Biofreeze all over, but it’s great on the REALLY sore areas.

@MissHoneyBun:  Send the SO out for some, he can leave the video games for 20 minutes.

Foam roller! You will want to scream in pain but after the first ten seconds, it hurts so good!! Also, what is Nike Training Club? Sounds badass.

Seems cool! I don’t have an iPhone though.. Boo. Did you like it? (Besides being in crazy pain right now) I like how it tracks your workouts and you can unlock new stuff.

I’ve heard that Arnica gel/cream is awesome for soreness/bruises, but I’ve never tried it.

I think you can get it at CVS/Rite Aid, and I’ve definitely seen it in GNC.
