While sitting at my desk just now, I looked down and realized that I’ve been wearing my engagement ring on my right hand for the last couple of hours. What’s more funny is that I was only half aware my ring had switched hands!
I’m a left-handed web designer that uses a digital tablet rather than a mouse. Sometimes my left ring finger needs a bit of a break so I absentmindedly switch ring hands once in awhile.
Does anyone else have the same habit or am I alone in this?

Yes! I am also left handed! Sometimes when I am taking an exam I switch it to my right so it doesn’t tap the desk so much. Also sometimes I take it off for showers and I always put it on my right hand by accident.

Wow, I haven’t done that yet (putting it on my right hand after taking it off). But I’ve only had it four months so I’m sure it’ll happen sooner or later. 😉

Mine doesn’t fit on my right hand (well, I can get it on with a bit of force but it hurts like the dickens to take it off!) so I don’t have that problem! Though I’m really not sure where I will wear my e-ring during the wedding. It’s even hard to get off my left hand so there is no way my fiance can do it to put my wedding ring on first!

tuliplove — you wear your Ering on your right hand or have your moh hold it for you during the ceremony, this way he can slip the wedding band on your finger without hassling with the ering!

I do that too! I absentmindedly play with my rings during meetings and switch them to various fingers. hasn’t happened with my e-ring yet, but I wont be surprised…

I just hope I don’t slip it off one day and forget to put it back on!
@tuliplove: I’ve found that my right ring finger is a little bigger than my left, too. My ring usually goes on easily enough but if I leave it on too long sometimes I have trouble getting it back off.

I woke up one morning to find I had put my engagement ring on a different finger while I was asleep! My hands had gotten hot and my fingers were swollen so I guess that’s what prompted it. It was too weird!

@chelseamorning: OK, you’ve definitely got me BEAT!! That’s amazing! 🙂

My ring definitely does not fit on my right hand, though I do fiddle with it a lot. I’m sure if it fit, I would switch hands fairly often.
