I’ve already posted how happy I am for you, but I re-read your story and it made me cry this time!  You should write the designer a quick thank you right now to let them know how much you appreciate her kindness.  Then when you’re wedding day is past send her a picture of you two looking beautiful together and a personally handwritten thank you again. 

I just think that maybe the designer would want to know her “orders” were taken seriously lol as well as how much her gesture means to you and that you weren’t trying to get a “freebie” at all.

I’m so happy for you! What a dream come true! I’m glad that there are still kind, considerate people on this Earth and the designer showed a lot of class in being so understanding. It truly is a beautiful, breath-taking dress and you look absolutely stunning in it. Congrats!

I would write to the designer and let her know that you really appreciate the gesture, rather than waiting until after the wedding. Everyone loves instant gratification!
