Ok. I haven’t been on WB in, like, a month. So I gotsa new story!!
I had been out of town for quite a bit after Fiance and I got engaged. Sporting my GORGEOUS ruby e-ring. Excuse the pooey picture.
Finally, I came back home. Fiance had decorated our room all cutesy-like with candles, rose petals, and bunches of other adorable things. After a moment to chill about the beautiful, romantic room before me, I noticed the big ol’ bouquet of flowers. All done up with a purple ribbon (fave color =]). He grabbed it off the book shelf and started saying all these sweet things about our relationship and our lives together. Couldn’t tell you the specifics, bawling too hard to remember. Then, he started fumbling with the bouquets ribbon, and I was all, “Whatcha doing? Don’t untie it!” In my head, of course. Coudn’t really speak at this point. That’s when I noticed the sparkly thing tied to the bouquet! He wriggled it off and asked me to marry him all over again! AGHHH!!! He is amazing. It’s a 1ct Moissanite set in 14k yellow gold. (We both agreed, no diamonds, from the jump. Not really our style, I suppose.)
I love the yellow setting. I think it makes it look so warm and romantic. And definitely timeless.
So what do you ladies think? Did I snag a good one or what?! =]

He wanted me to have the traditional e-ring. We talked from the beginning about having the ruby as a temp ring until we could afford the forever one. I didn’t think it would be a month later! Lol =]
Also! Thanks to everyone who complemented the ruby. When I showed a group of my friends one girl immediately said, “Oh… it’s pink…”, and I haven’t been able to get that out of my head. The ring is gorgeous, couldn’t she have said something about the large stone, or the pretty mounting?! Sheesh.
Another reason we got another one is because the Ruby is set in sterling. Mostly I chose it because that stone is unbelievable under the lights, like, burning from the inside out unbelievable. We plan to have it reset someday in gold. It’s my birthstone afterall.
It’s so fun posting on Weddingbee. When you’re excited to share the news, you don’t have to worry about people thinking you’re bragging. Everyone seems just plain old happy for you. I love that.
