My mom passed away from Ovarian cancer on September 2, 2010.
im not sure which idea i will be choosing but i will be choosing one or 2 of the following. Hope this helps you guys.
A picture can be displayed in the seat that she would have been seated in.
A poem can be written in their honor.
A candle can be lite in their honor.
A picture can be placed in a locket to be attached to the bouquet of the bride or around the neck.
A brooch or pinet of the deceased will be great to add to the dres, tux, or bouquet as well!

I lost my gramma 4 years ago… We were very close…. her her favorite flower was roses.. Classic red roses in particular… So I am going to have 1 bouquet of red roses for my parents table at the reception but no roses anywhere else…
I will also be wearing my gramma’s pearls as I walk down the aisle

@teambell2014: My mom passed away in 2007. I think I am doing the charm on the bracelet. For some reason, I hate the picture on the chair. It just seems awkward and weird to me.

Those are all lovely ideas, though I agree with weatherbug about the chair. It would freak me out I think.
I lost my grandad in October. I’m planning on wearing a lapel pin on my dress which is in the shape of a leek (something he won trophies growing when i was younger), and which I also wore to his funeral. I also plan to have the registrar say my birth name after reading out my name, as I changed it to take my FI’s name. I’d like to have my grandad’s name acknowledge since I’m very proud to have had it for the most part of my life. So basically the registrar will say, “Do you Melissa Majoria, born Melissa Monkeypants, take…”
