OMG don’t do that!!!! would you really want to risk doing damage to your uterus or cervix?

No way, no how! I had the doc take it out, and she had a helluva time doing it. I can’t imagine doing it myself! You could really hurt yourself (think punctured uterus, ouchie!).

I removed my own. It came out easily and I didn’t feel a thing.

I work at a daycare and one of the moms removed hers all on her own, I don’t know any details nor did I really want to know! I have thought about it but can’t even imagine doing it for myself! She just refused to pay $200 and something dollars to get it removed, I kind of can’t blame her 🙂

Mine hurt coming out and the doctor did it very gently.  I suggest going to the doctor (even a regular GP) if you can afford it.

if money is the issue, I don’t see how it could cost more than just your regular copay– unless you don’t have health insurance. I’ll bet planned parenthood would do it, and they have a sliding scale.

ohmygosh Please don’t do this on your own!  Infection, embedded devices, damage to the uterus, perforation!!!  There is NO PRICE for safety & health.  Check with PP as janie-janie suggested.

@stbMohror:IMO if she was so worried about the cost, she probably should have chosen a different form of BC.

I agree, definetly not something you want to do on your own.
