I think its up to you, but I personally dont get rent the runway. I would rather put 50-100 dollars toward a dress I get to keep and wear again. It just seems like a rip off to me. Just my opinion though.

I don’t know.  If you found a dress on there that you LOVED but couldn’t afford, then sure.  But otherwise, I agree–just find a cheaper dress to buy that you can wear again and again.

Hmm… then what if you don’t get engaged on Valentine’s Day? I’d just go with a less expensive dress that you can wear again… you can always rent a fabulous dress for an engagement party, if you have one!

The night I got engaged, I was in jeans and a t-shirt! 😉 I couldn’t imagine planning out something to wear, especially if…he doesn’t do it that night?

I mean if its something youre dying to wear and you just cant afford it I say go for it. Another problem though is the fit of the dress. How do you know if its going to fit right? Every designer fits differently and its hard to know until you try it on.

I agree with the other ladies. If you go and rent the dress and it isnt that night youll be so dissapointed. Try not to put so much thought into the night and let go of expectations. Just enjoy valentines day with your Boyfriend or Best Friend.

I’d look around, i’m sure you could find something cheaper that you could wear again and again. And it truly is a good point – if you dont’ get engaged on that day then what? then you spent money on a dress that you could have put towards something else.  Getting engaged SHOULDN’T be about what you are wearing, it should be about the words and how it happens.. in the million stories i’ve told of my engagement never once did someone say ” what were you wearing!? ” which btw i was wearing a sports bra and sweat pants. Still the best night ever.
