I have been excited for the longest time about finally being able to decide where we’re going on the Honeymoon. Big island Hawaii. Perfect.
Until I found out that neither my Fiance or I will be able to rent a car because we’ll both be 20 at the time of the honeymoon.
I’ve tried to think of ways around it but can come up with none. Not one. I hate that something so silly is stopping us from our dream honeymoon.
Has anything stupid kept you away from your dream honeymoon?

Are you sure you can’t rent one? Usually you can just pay an additional underage fee?

Are you going to Maui? My fiance and I are renting a car through a locally owned family car rental, and they don’t have the age 25 requirement. If interested in getting some info, PM me. 🙂

you might still be able to rent a car, they will just probably charge you a ridiculous amount of money for insurance. i wish you luck finding an option that will allow you to have your honeymoon!

Oh I just saw you said Big Island. Well, do a search for a locally owned car rental. You may be surprised to find some are less strict on the age thing.

One of the major rental car companies lets you rent as long as you are 18. Enterprise maybe? I’m trying to think of what I used to drive on business trips when I was right out of college.
Look into this more closely. I’m sure you can rent a car in Hawaii.

Call local rental places. I went to AZ a few weekends ago to visit Fiance, and got one from a local place with no age minimum.
