I do – our apartment was cleaned before we moved in, and I take baths in the tub all the time.  I also regularly clean our bathroom, so it doesn’t bother me.

I do know how you feel though – I wouldn’t necessarily take a bath in a hotel room, just because the idea kind of gives me the willies.  And I know that hotels clean their rooms and whatnot, but I feel better knowing my bathtub in my apartment was cleaned by me.

I refuse to take a bath in our current rental, because it really is beyond being cleaned. See my previous post about cleaning the horrific bathroom we inherited. So I guess it depends on what the shape of the bath is. Also my last rental was awesome (so sad I had to leave it behind) and I totally took baths in the tub… but I definitely bleached the crap out of it before the first bath!

So are you saying that when you buy and your house is old that you’ll be replacing the tub?

We were lucky in our apartment – it had a brand new tub! But I am kind of obsessed with baths, so I’m sure even if it wasn’t new I would have scrubbed it and have a bath anyways! haha

I MISS my old tub!!  The apartment was at the top of an old house, the insulation sucked, and heat was electric.  We barely paid anything for gas, though, and the hot water was gas heated…so we’d keep the apartment COLD and take lots of baths.

By we I mean my former roommate and me…and we had separate bathrooms!  She had this set up where she put a board over her tub (it was a square shaped one) so she could use her laptop.  I’d just read in the bath.

I miss that place!  Even though the bathroom had black linoleum tiles on the floor and pink tiles on the wall…lol.

I take baths in my apartment. Our apartment was cleaned by the complex before we moved in. I deep cleaned it before moving all of our stuff in as well. If there’s no mold or cracks in the tub I don’t really have a problem with it. The only thing I hate is that our tub is smaller than I would like. I would like to be able to soak in some bath salts once in awhile when my back is sore, but that can get uncomfortable after awhile.

I don’t take baths, really (I prefer a tub that I can relax in and be covered–even a standard tub is too small for me, and I’m only 5’1″), but yeah, I’ll do it. Not like they didn’t clean the tub before we moved in/I don’t clean it regularly!

I moved into my condo 3 years ago and I still can’t take a bath in it. It’s perfectly clean, been bleached weekly and it just sleeves me out. I just can’t do it!!

I lovelovelove baths, but I refuse to take them in our apartment, no matter how clean it is.  It just skeeves me out when it’s a shower/bath combo.  I don’t want to bathe where we stand to shower…  I need a freestanding tub!  Plus, our shower/tub is small, our bathroom is tiny, and I just can’t imagine getting relaxed in there.

I often take baths at my parents’ house when I’m over because they have a big whirlpool tub in their master bathroom.  Haha kinda makes me feel like a little kid bathing at my parents’ house, but I’ll take what I can get!

I’m not a bath person but if I was, I wouldn’t hesitate to take one in our condo. We’ve lived here for almost 5 years so any remnants of past tenants were washed away a long time ago.

I do. I bleach the hell out of it when we first move in, and then I make a conscious decision not to think about it and just pretend I’m the first one who’s ever taken a bath in there.

I’m very pregnant, and in pretty much constant pain, and a warm bath every night is the only thing that allows me to relax enough to get any sleep.

I rarely take baths, but I totally do (in this apartment) – it was completely gutted and redone right before FI and I moved in, so it’s only our ick in the tub. Smile

I would never take on in our old rental because I just thought the whole place was yuck! But in our new rental, which I have a slight love affair with, I have enjoyed a bath or two. Of course, after I have cleaned multiple times to make myself feel at ease about it! Laughing
