(Closed) Renting Beach House/ Mansion for a venue any one know anything about that?

@Sassafraskate:  Your first step would be in either contacting the owners or property managers, as many are very specific about no Proms or weddings in their homes/rentals. Many beach areas also have restrictions and you need permits that are approved to have any kind of an event on the beach…parking can be a nightmare as well as noise for the neighbors, no electricity being used on the beach for music/vows/lights….rentals and catering can also be plenty costly.

I tried several years ago and was turned down at every turn. They since relaxed some of their requirements, but every state is different. Contact your local Chamber of Commerce for more information.

Hi, My son and his fiance rented The Elm Court in the Berkshires…it was BEAUTIFUL and elegant, and I believe it was pretty inexpensive. We all live in CA and it was so personal and fun to spend the weekend together at the mansion. Plus all the rooms were absolutely gorgeous. Try them!

You could try Bed and Breakfasts. That’s what we’re doing.
