- Wedding: December 2012
Here is my dilemma. I purchased a Monique Lhuillier wedding dress for approx. $7k. During the wedding there was some damage, including several holes to the inner layers of the tulle (there are about 5-7 layers of tulle in the skirt of the dress). There was also a bit of beadwork damage at the hem of the dress. I am having a very reputable co. in NYC clean and preserve the dress and they have asked me if they would like me to do the repairs. I am planning on selling this dress. Would a buyer prefer to have the repairs done or do them herself? And how would that affect what I could then sell it for? I don’t have any issue paying for the repairs, I just don’t know if a buyer would prefer to have the dress as-is without the repairs. Any advice would be much appreciated!!
