Hey all, I am going to have a new diamond put in place of my current cluster diamonds. My question is whether you all think it’d look best to keep the halo setting, or just replace the whole head with a 1.3 ct diamond. I can’t decide!

Gabrielle Adams : I think it would look great with the center stone with a halo. Also I wouldchange your username if that’s your real name.

That’s lovely. I think no halo.

You cannot just replace the head on that ring, it is integrated, not a peg head. I think the diamond looks lovely in the halo. But it you want a solitaire, it will require a new setting.

jcent : I already consulted with a jeweler and they can do it either way, luckily for me!

Given that the diamond is smaller than the halo, that will leave a gap on either side of it. I would ask them for a rendering of how it wold look.

jcent : yeah, that isn’t the exact diamond I would replace it with. He just pulled it out to give me an example of a similar diamond size. The jeweler is bringing in a few different options of stones that will fit in my setting. I will definitely ask for a rendering of how it will look though!

I like the way the halo looks. It just goes with the band really well!

nope, no halo. Instead take the current halo diamonds and make yourself a half eternity band with it 🙂 beautiful upgrade congrats!

To change your name go here: http://support.weddingbee.com/category/usernames
Write a new post entitled “User Name Change” and I think one of the mods will take it from there. In the post, write what you want your new user name to be. There are numerous posts you can click on in the forum if you need an example.
This seems so archaic and I’m not sure why you can’t do this without the moderators’ help.
