    I would not want to be asked to be a replacement Maid/Matron of Honor. I would wait and see if one of your bridesmaids wants to take on the role. Personally, I’d feel a bit hurt that I was your second-choice replacement.

    @BeeOi:  it depends….do people already know that you picked your bridal party? If so, I would not ask. You do have 7 months so it isnt too late. I wouldnt want to be a replacement bm or Maid/Matron of Honor if I knew that’s what I was. Who else would you ask? If they would be Maid/Matron of Honor then I would imagine it to be someone very close if not then you are asking for issues (read the MANY bridesmaid and replacing bms posts, lol).
