@nikix:  If it’s made with real gold and stones, IDGAF to be honest. When it comes to things like jewelry, nothing anyone is going to design these days hasn’t been done before already! Look at the new Vera Wang rings; all of them just look like double-bling versions of halo infinity ring sets you could find anywhere else.

I think it’s fine. You can tell the difference though. I guess you have to because its not the same.

I don’t know if it’s a replica persay, but when my fiancé was buying my engagement ring (a tacori), the jeweler said he could make a similar one cheaper, but it would have to be a little different bc of the patent or whatever. He didn’t opt to do that, but I think price is probably the #1 reason for getting a replica. 

eta: I don’t think they make replica rings like they do purses and sell them on the street.

Doesn’t bother me any. If someone wants a replica ring, do it. I’d feel better supporting a smaller jeweler as opposed to a “name brand” one.
